Last June 15, 2021, UK Defense Attaché, Captain Ian Clarke (RN) visited the TLP to meet the UK TLP staff and UK personnel taking part in the annual APROC exercise.
During his visit, Captain Clarke received an overview of TLP from the TLP Commandant, Col Carlos Presa about organization, objectives and activities, as well as TLP’s future projects and new procedures, to better understand the role of the Programme and UK RAF Service Personnel assigned to the unit.
After said briefing, RAF TLP Service Personnel (SP) had the opportunity to discuss specific UK matters. He was also briefed on the current APROC exercise objectives, and met with 5 UK Regiment personnel who are taking part in it.
Concluding the visit, the Defense Attaché commented that he was impressed with the initiatives that are being taken to raise the profile of TLP, and is particularly looking forward to seeing UK F-35 participating in the Nov 2021 TLP Flying Course.
