Last Tuesday, 26th September 2023, Lieutenant General Juan Pablo Sánchez de Lara, Chief of CAOC Torrejón visited TLP accompanied by British Royal Air Force Squadron Leader David Tucker, member of the CAOC Combat Plans Division.
Upon their arrival at the headquarters, they were welcomed by the TLP Commandant, Colonel Luis Alberto Martínez Ruiz, together with a commission appointed for this purpose composed of the chiefs of the flying, academic and support branches, the Lieutenant Colonels of the National Component and the TLP Warrant Officer.
To start their visit, the TLP Commandant gave them a briefing on the Tactical Leadership Programme, in which he explained the current status of the programme and the challenges for the future. Later, the CAOC presented to the attendees the activities carried out at its centre, after which a discussion was opened on the possible mutual support that the units could provide to each other.
Afterwards, they had the opportunity to see a demonstration of the TLP flight simulator.
Before leaving TLP HQ, Lieutenant General Sánchez de Lara signed the TLP Book of Honour.
To conclude the visit, Lieutenant General Sanchez de Lara together with Sqn Ldr Tucker visited the TLP hangar.
