French and Spanish Air Force High Staff visit to Albacete Air Base, 14th Wing, MAESAL and TLP (Tactical Leadership Programme)
2nd April 2019, a French and Spanish Air Force High Staff delegation visited Albacete Air Base, 14th Wing, MAESAL and TLP.
Upon their arrival at the Unit by air, they were welcomed by the Base and 14th Wing Commander, Colonel Juan Manuel Pablos Chi, the Maestranza Commander, Colonel Fernando Álvarez Sintes, and TLP Commandant, Andrés Enrique Maldonado García.
The visit began with a greeting line from the staff of the Albacete Air Base, in front of the Air Force Group building. Afterwards, Colonel Pablos briefed the delegation on the 14th Wing capabilities. Next, there was a static C-16 display and a family photograph; after that they visited the C-16 flight simulator.
Following the visit to 14th Wing, they moved to MAESAL, where the Maestranza Commander, Fernando Alvarez Sintes started the visit with a briefing. Then the delegation visited the Combat Aircraft Workshop.
At the TLP, Colonel Andrés Enrique Maldonado García, briefed on the organization, objectives and main activities of the Programme.
After the briefing, a ceremony in remembrance of the deceased in the accident on 2015 took place.
The visit concluded with the signing of the Unit’s book of honour followed by a lunch in the Officers Mess.
