On Thursday 4th July 2024, the handover of the Tactical Leadership Programme (TLP) and its national component Commandant took place at the TLP facilities at Albacete Air Base.
The ceremony was presided over by H.E. Lieutenant General D. Francisco González-Espresati Amián, Commanding General of the Combat Air Command (GJMACOM) and was attended by the main local civilian and military authorities, the international personnel of the nations that are members of the TLP, as well as family and friends of the incoming and outgoing Colonels.
Upon the arrival of the LTGEN González-Espresati, and once he had received the corresponding news from the outgoing Colonel D. Luis Alberto Martínez Ruiz and addressed a brief greeting to the authorities and guests, the ceremony of change of command began, with the reading of the resolution appointing Colonel D. César Óscar Acebes Puertas as the new Commandant of the Tactical Operations Leadership Programme and its National Component.
After the reading of the handover speech, Colonel Acebes took the oath of office as Commandant of the Programme. Afterwards, Lieutenant General Francisco González-Espresati Amián addressed a brief speech to all those present. The Air Force anthem was then sung, and the ceremony ended with a homage to the fallen.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, the GJMACOM, accompanied by the outgoing and incoming Colonels, proceeded to sign the handover minutes.
