Last Wednesday, 29th November 2023, TLP hosted a Distinguished Visitors’ Day, on the occasion of its FC 2023-4. The DV Day was attended by high military national and international authorities, including Lieutenant General Sánchez de Lara and Major General Ortiz-Cañavate from Spain, Major General Dominique Tardif from France, Air Vice-Marshal Tom Burke from the UK, Brigadier General Evangelios Tzikas from Greece, and the Defense Attachés in Madrid of several Nations, amongst others.
Upon their arrival at TLP, they were welcomed by a commission comprising the host nation, host base, TLP and National representatives.
During their visit, the authorities observed the beginning of the mission planning for the day, which included the weather, scenario and task. Then, the TLP Commandant briefed the attendees about the Programme and its current and future issues, followed by an introduction of the battle rhythm of a TLP Flying Course mission, offered by the Branch Chiefs.
After the aforementioned briefings, the visitors could witness a synthetics demo in the TLP simulator. Later, they made a tour around the TLP hangar and ramp.
To conclude the visit, the authorities attended the real time mission monitoring in the Main Briefing Room, where they could observe the mission execution on the screens.
