Last Wednesday, 22nd February, General James B. Hecker, Commander of U.S. Air Force in Europe and Africa (COMUSAFE) visited TLP along with other members of the U.S. Air Force (USAFE) in Europe. Lieutenant General Francisco González-Espresati Amián, Chief of the Spanish Air Combat Command (GJMACOM) accompanied them.
Upon their arrival to the TLP headquarters, they were welcomed by TLP Commandant, Luis Alberto Martínez Ruiz, the Albacete Air Base Commander, Ignacio Zulueta Martín, and a commission appointed for this purpose comprising TLP and Base Warrant Officers, TLP Chief of Support Unit, the Chiefs of the Flying and Academic Branches, and the US Senior at TLP.
First of all, the visitors could observe the beginning of the FC 23-1 mission planning for the day. Secondly, TLP Commandant, Luis Alberto Martínez Ruiz, gave them a presentation on the organization, objectives, main activities and latest developments of the Tactical Leadership Programme. Later, they witnessed a demonstration of the capabilities of the TLP flight simulator. Finally, General James B. Hecker signed the TLP Book of Honour.
To conclude the visit, General Hecker greeted both the US TLP staff members and the US course participants in TLP FC 23-1.
