Last 25th and 26th June 2024, the 16th TLP Steering Group Meeting (SGM) was held at TLP HQ. This annual meeting is usually attended by the TLP Commandant, a representative of every MoU nation and the senior representatives of the signatory nations, assigned in TLP. Also present at this meeting is the Chairman, a representative of the air staff of the host nation who acts as a moderator, and an AIRCOM representative.
This year’s edition of the SG meeting was moderated by Col. Abós (SG Chairman), and was attended by all the aforementioned participants with the exception of the DNK SG representative.
During the meeting, the results of the Flying and Academic courses carried out since the previous meeting were presented, as well as the evolution of flight simulator (MACE) and the flight safety report. Then, the attendees approved the budget and the schedule for 2025 courses. Finally, they revised and agreed some changes in the TLP Plan of Operations (PoO).
It is worthwhile mentioning the presence of an AIRCOM representative in the meeting, who briefed the attendees about some of the NATO priorities, ambitions and exercises, which will take place in the upcoming years.
